  • Board Conversations with the Community & MNE Project Input

    The Board of Directors will be hosting three more Board Conversations with the Community this school year. All events are open opportunities for anyone in the community to connect with board members on any district-related topic they choose. The next event will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. in the Panorama Village Boardroom. This time will also offer the community an opportunity to review and provide input on the Mount Nittany Elementary project.

    • Monday, Dec. 18, 2023, (5-7 p.m.)
    • Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024, (8-10 a.m.)
    • Tuesday, April 9, 2024, (6-8 p.m.)

  • Getting a Taste of the Future

    At Ferguson Township Elementary’s first Career Café, students recently got a taste of what they could grow up to be. One table featured a veterinarian showing how she treats animals. Another had a sports performance coach leading exercises. Also sharing were an architect, a registered nurse, a mental health counselor, a physician and a paramedic.

    New Dean of Students Role Pays Dividends

    The new elementary deans are focused on reinforcing positive school wide behavior programs, providing student support, and assisting faculty and staff. Working with principals, counselors and psychologists, they serve as roving facilitators within buildings, rather than administrators per se.

    Latin Thanksgiving Meal initiative

    For the second straight year, some district Spanish-speaking families will sit down to a different flavor of Thanksgiving feast, courtesy of culinary arts students in 极速六合彩 High’s Career and Technical Center.

    Spring Creek Elementary Alma Mater

    Spring Creek Elementary Principal Paul Brigman recently gave a special dedication for a historic moment. Before him sat students filling the gym, gathered for an assembly to debut the new Spring Creek alma mater he composed with music teacher Melanie Komlenic.

  • New Virtual Academy Assistant Principal Rebecca Michaels

    New Virtual Academy Assistant Principal

    The district welcomes Rebecca Michaels, our new Virtual Academy Assistant Principal, who was approved on Sept. 18. She will start in late November. Rebecca comes to the district from Mifflin County School District, where she was the assistant principal of Indian Valley Elementary Center.
